What is the pull really about?

The interesting question isn't simply whether you love the West Coast.
It's what you love about it, and whether more of that could belong in your real life.

Why I created this
I've always believed that where we live shapes how we live, and that choosing where to build our lives can be one of the most meaningful decisions we make.
But there's another reason I created this: I know what it's like to fall in love with a place.
I first discovered the West Coast years before I ever lived here. And somehow, it stayed with me. I returned whenever I could. I thought about it when I was away. And over the years, what began as loving a beautiful place became something much harder to explain: I could imagine a version of my life here.
Eventually, I stopped simply wondering about it and made the move myself. And that's when I learned something important. Loving a place and building a life there are two different things.
A life has to work beyond the view. It has to hold the people you love, the way you want to spend your ordinary days, your finances and work, your need for community, and all the wonderfully unglamorous realities of everyday life.
I've spent more than 15 years helping people make real estate decisions, and my background in counselling psychology has made me deeply interested in the human side of those decisions. But making my own major relocation taught me things no professional experience ever could.
There are things I absolutely love about the life I've built here. Things that surprised me. Things I wish I'd understood sooner.
That's why I created this.
Not to convince you to move west.
But because if this coast has gotten under your skin too, I think that feeling deserves something better than either romanticizing it or talking yourself out of it.
It deserves to be explored.
And maybe, somewhere in that exploration, you'll discover what role the West Coast could play in the life you're designing.
